The DirecTV digital satellite system has become one of the fastest selling

purchase programming from two different companies.
The Dish Network has over 130 channels to choose from. It uses the same
technologies as the DirecTV. But there instead of two programming providers there is only
one. The Hardware and the programming are provided by one company.
Since early '80's, C-Band satellite dishes have been available to
residential home owners across the U.S. Cable companies, along with thousands of
consumers, continue to choose C-Band technology to receive the widest variety of
programming available - from movies and music to sports and specials and more. And is the
source for a small dish providers.
Primestar, by 6 major cable companies, is a
digital satellite service that allows the consumer to rent the equipment. Although renting
is a very popular option, Primestar systems sometimes require a long-term rent agreement
and offer a limited selection of programming choices, plus you will pay rent for the
equipment along with your monthly programming fees.
