HOW TO rePROGRAM A SATELLITE

1. Go to the satellite you want to reprogram.  If you are not getting a picture, use RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS until you find a picture and identify what satellite you are actually on.  If it is not the one you are looking for, use RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS until you find the correct satellite.  If you are getting a picture, identify what satellite you are actually receiving, then use RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS until you find the correct satellite..   **If you cannot find the correct satellite using this method, then see Programming a New Satellite. **

2. Press MENU.  You will see “Mode Menu”.  The pointer should be at “User Mode”. If it is not, use UP/DOWN ARROWS until the pointer is at “User Mode”.  Then press ENTER.

3. You will then see the “User Mode” menu on the screen.  Tap DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at line number 5 for Video/Dish Fine Tune.  Then press ENTER.

4. The “Video/Dish Fine Tune” menu will now appear on the screen.  The pointer will be at “Video Fine Tune”.  Tap DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at “Dish Fine Tune”.  Then press ENTER.  “INPUT PASSWORD” will appear on the screen. Using the number buttons on the remote press 6-7-8-9.  DO NOT PRESS ENTER.   Make sure the picture is at the clearest point by using RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS, then press ENTER.  The polarity will now tune automatically.  When it is finished “DISH POSITION UPDATED” will appear on the screen.

HOW TO PROGRAM A NEW SATELLITE:

1. Go to a satellite next to or near the one you want to program.  It is much easier if you start on a satellite that is the same polarity format.

2. a.  If you start on a satellite with the same polarity format, tap the RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS on the remote until you find the correct satellite.  Then go to Step 3.

b.  If you start on a satellite with the opposite polarity format, tap RIGHT/LEFT ARROWS until you lose the picture.  Then press MENU.  You will see “Mode Menu”. The pointer should be at “User Mode”.  Tap DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at “Program Mode”.  Then press ENTER. “INPUT PASSWORD” will appear on the screen.   Using the keypad on the remote, press A-B-C-E.  You should see the “Program Mode” menu on the screen.  Use DOWN ARROW until the pointer is at line number 3 for “Channel Update”.
