This receiver features a UHF remote, switchable C/Ku or H/V inputs, 56
satellite position memory, 100 favorite channels, on-screen graphics
overlay, built-in TI filter, separate VCR video and audio outputs, stereo
outputs and parental supervision by satellite and channel.

HOW TO PROGRAM A satellite
1. Go to a satellite that is next to or near to the satellite to be
programmed.
2. Select a channel that is active on the satellite that is to be
programmed and on the satellite that you are starting from.
3. Press and hold MENU. The Main
Menu will be displayed and then will change to the Installation Menu.
4. Press 1 for Program
Satellites. The Satellite Store menu will be displayed on the screen. (See
below.)

*NOTE* This is a list of the pre-programmed satellites. The satellites
that are stored have a square to the left of the abbreviation. You can use
any of the names as long as you do not use them to watch programming.
5. To select a satellite name on the current page, use channel
up or down to move the arrow beside the name, to switch pages to
get a different list of satellite names use the left
(east) or right (west) arrows.
Make sure to use a satellite name that you do not use. Be sure that you do
not select a satellite under KU-Satellite Store and remember, the
satellite name can have a square beside it as long as the satellite is not
used. If you cannot find a satellite name that will work, then press CANCEL,
VIEW and then go to the How
To Add A Satellite Name section.
6. After finding a satellite name that you can use, press CALL.
If the name has a square beside it, then it is going to display;
"Warning, Satellite Already Programmed", "Do You Want To
Reprogram?". Press ENTER to override
this warning.
7. The programming screen will be displayed now. It will have the name
of the satellite and channel along with skew, polarity, dish at ____, etc.
The picture or snowy screen will be behind the writing.
8. Tap EAST or WEST
in the correct direction until a picture or black screen appears. If you
are on the correct satellite, proceed to step 9. If not, continue to move east
or west.
*Possible Problem* You are picking up the satellites with the
opposite polarity.
What to Do:
a. Press POL to reverse the format.
b. Continue to move east or west
until correct satellite is found.
c. If you find the satellite, Do not press ENTER
with the polarity reversed!
d. When the correct satellite is found, press POL
again, the picture will probably go snowy, this is OK.
e. Press ENTER to save the satellite.
f. Press CANCEL, then 4
for Add/Update Satellite, use East/West to
select the satellite name that you are programming on line 1. (See
figure 1)
g. Press SETUP, then 4
for Polarity. Use the channel up/down to
change
the I to a N, or the N to an I. Press ENTER
h. Press menu and the 1
for Program Satellite.
i. Select the satellite name by using the
channel up or down or switch pages to get a different list of
satellite names using the left (east ) or right
(west) arrows.
j. After getting the arrow on the satellite name that you want to
program, Press CALL, it is going to
display; "Warning, Satellite Already Programmed" "Do You
Want To Reprogram?" Press ENTER to
override this warning.
k. The programming screen will be displayed now. It will have the
name of the satellite and channel along with skew, polarity, dish at
____, etc. The picture should be behind the writing.
l. If the picture is not in, verify the channel, then press SKEW
and use the up/down arrow
to adjust the picture back in. Once the picture is in, press ENTER
to save the skew. Proceed with step 9.
9. When you have correct picture. Press ENTER
to save the satellite. Press MENU, then VIEW
to exit the menus.
10. Check to make sure that correct satellite name is at the top of the
screen when you press VIEW. If it is not,
then you may have to try to program it again.
11. This completes the programming process.
How To Add A Satellite Name
1. Press and hold MENU. The Main
Menu will be displayed and then will change to the Installation Menu.
2. Press 6 for Add/Update
Satellite. The Add/Update Satellite Store will be displayed on the screen.
(See below). **Sometimes this menu will blank off the screen too fast.
You have to be fast about entering the satellite name.**

3. Press 1. Use the EAST/WEST
arrows to change the name on line 1 to C-Spare or to a satellite
name that is not used.
4. Press SETUP, then press 2.
The first letter will blink on line 2.
5. Use channel up/down to change the first
letter to the appropriate letter for the satellite abbreviation.
6. Use west to move the cursor over to the
number and it will begin to blink. Use channel
up/down to change the number to the appropriate number for the
satellite abbreviation
7. Press ENTER, then MENU
8. Return to step 4
of the Main Program instructions and select the name that you just
entered.
