UNIDEN 2020 SATELLITE RECEIVER

This receiver features C/Ku compatibility, 100 programmable favorite channels, 45 programmable satellite positions, digital stereo outputs on videocipher channels, analog audio left and right outputs, UHF remote, parental lockout capable and a built-in TI filter.

  HOW TO PROGRAM A SATELLITE

1. Go to a satellite that is near to or next to the satellite to be programmed.

2. Select a channel that is active on the satellite that is to be programmed and on the satellite that you are starting from.

3. On the front of the receiver, hold LOCK until the memory lock light goes off. If the lock light will not go off and the password protection is enabled, the screen will display “You Want Unlock Functions?” “Enter Password”. Put your password in if you have one. If you do not know a password then try entering four zeros (0000). If the password works then the screen will display “ Memory Lock Is Off” “Sat. Programming Is Enabled”.

-You must disable the password protection in order to unlock the receiver.

4. Follow the proper procedure:

If you are starting from a satellite with the same format, then tap EAST or WEST until a different picture or black screen appears.

-If you are starting from a satellite with the opposite format, then tap EAST or WEST just until the picture is gone, then press POL (polarity) one time. A picture should appear, if not continue moving east or west until a picture or black screen appears.

6. If the correct satellite is tuned in and the picture is correct, then go to step 7. Otherwise, continue moving east or west until the correct satellite is found.

7. Press PS on the remote (under the door) and the “** Unlock Function **” menu will be displayed on the screen. Press 5 for Program Satellite mode and the following screen will be displayed.

  **NOTE** You need to be quick at this point, because the menu usually goes off the screen quickly if no buttons are pressed. If the menu does disappear, then press PS and 5 again.

9. Press 1 and an arrow will be displayed beside line 1. Using left/right arrow on the lower half of the remote, select a spare name or a name that you do not presently use.

10. Press 2 and an arrow will be displayed beside line 2. Press ALPHA on the receiver until the desired letter for the satellite to be programmed appears on line 2, next press NUM on the receiver until the desired number for the satellite to be programmed appears on line 2.

11. After getting the correct name, press STORE on the receiver or ENTER on the remote one time.

12. If the picture needs to be tuned, you can press 3 and this will put an arrow on line 3. Use left/right arrows on the lower half of the remote to move the dish east or west for the best picture and then press STORE or ENTER again.

13. After pressing STORE or ENTER the screen will display at the bottom

“Satellite is Stored”.

14. Press CANCEL to exit the menus.

15. Press LOCK to turn the memory lock light on.

16. Verify that the satellite is stored by moving to a different satellite and then back.
