UNIDEN SQ-590 SATELLITE RECEIVER This receiver features an on-screen menus, built in TI filter, UHF remote, C-Band/Ku-Band compatibility, dual LNB compatible, 7-event/2-week timer, dual feed compatibility. It also features Quiktune, channel scan, up to 10 channels can be parentally locked out, 6 hour sleep timer, 2 sets of A/V outputs, 2 sets of A/V inputs and up to 160 programmable favorite channels. LEGEND 1. Go to a
satellite that is next to or near to the satellite to be programmed. 2. Select a channel
that is active on the satellite that is to be programmed and on the satellite
that you are starting from. 3. Follow the
proper procedure: -If you are
starting from a satellite with the same format, then tap EAST
or WEST until a different picture or
black screen appears. -If you are
starting from a satellite with the opposite format, then tap EAST
or WEST just until the picture is gone.
Then press TUNE one time, this will display the
Video Tuning Options, press 3 for polarity,
then VIEW and a picture should appear, if one
does not then continue moving east or west until a picture or black screen does
appear. 4. Verify that the
picture is correct. If it is, then go to step 5. Otherwise, continue moving east
or west until the correct satellite is found. *Note* When moving across several
satellites to find the correct satellite the polarity may reverse. Press TUNE,
3, then VIEW to
reverse it back. **NOTE** If you have a snowy screen and you press the tune button, a menu may not come up. It is only because that it is snowy. The only options are to keep trying to get the menu or reverse the polarity before you move east or west. If you reverse the polarity before you move, then check the satellite that you are starting from when you are done, because you probably will have changed the polarity on it. 5.After finding the
correct satellite there are three methods of storing the satellite. 1.
Use a satellite name that is already stored into the memory, to use this method
go to option 1. Be sure to use a satellite name that is an old or an unavailable
satellite, so you do not lose a satellite that you watch. The new satellite
would not be stored under the correct satellite name 2.
The second method is to use a pre-programmed name that is not stored, to use
this procedure see Option 2.
The new satellite would not be stored under the correct satellite name using
this method either. 3.
The third method is to add a custom name into memory, to use this method go to Option
