Uniden SUPRA

1.) Go to a satellite that is next to or near to the satellite to be programmed.

2.) Select a channel that is active on the satellite that is to be programmed and on the satellite that you are starting from.

3.) Follow the proper procedure:

-If you are starting from a satellite with the same format, then tap the EAST or WEST button until a different picture or black screen appears.

-If you are starting from a satellite with the opposite format, then tap the EAST or WEST button just until the picture is gone, then press TUNE, 2, then VIEW to reverse the polarity, a picture should appear, if one does not then continue moving east or west until a picture or black screen does appear.

4.) Verify that the picture is correct. If it is, then go to step 5. Otherwise, continue moving east or west until the correct satellite is found. *Note* When moving across several satellites to find the correct satellite the polarity may reverse. Press TUNE, 2, then VIEW to reverse it back.

5.) After finding the correct satellite there are three methods of storing the satellite.

1.) Use a satellite name that is already stored into the memory, to use this method go to option 1. Be sure to use a satellite name that is an old or an unavailable satellite, so you do not lose a satellite they watch. The new satellite would not be stored under the correct satellite name

2.) The second method is to use a pre-programmed name that is not stored, to use this procedure go to option 2. The new satellite would not be stored under the correct satellite name using this method either.

3.) The third method is to add a custom name into memory, to use this method go to Option 3. This method you may be add the correct name in the memory.

Option 1:

-Press the MENU button and this will display the Main Menu on the screen.

-Press the number 2 for Reprogram Satellite. It will display "Reprogram A Single Satellite" "Sat Name (F2)". Use the channel up or down button to change the name in parenthesis to get a satellite name that is not currently used to watch programming. If you are not sure if they use any of the satellite names, then press CANCEL to exit the menus and move to a satellite to check it. If you find a name to use, then start over since you moved off of the satellite to be programmed. If you cannot find a satellite name to use, then use option 2 or 3 to store the satellite.

-Otherwise, you should be on the satellite to be programmed and there should be a name in the parenthesis that you can use to store the satellite. If so, press the ENTER button. It should display "Successful" and then return to the picture.

-This completes the process and you can end the call.

Option 2 and Option 3:

-Press the MENU button to display the Main Menu.

-Press number 7 for the Installation Menu. It may ask for a password which is 3573.

-The Installation Menu will be displayed. Press the number 1 for Program Satellites.

-The Satellite Store menu will be displayed on the screen (see figure 1).

*NOTE* This is a list of the pre-programmed satellites. The satellites that are stored have a square to the left of the abbreviation. You can use any of the names as long as you do not use it to watch programming. To switch pages to get a different list of satellites, use the left or right arrows (east-west buttons). To select a satellite on the current page, then use the channel up or down button to move the arrow beside the name.
