Chaparral CR-10 The Chaparral CR-10 has 37 satellites already stored in memory with the ability to store up to 48. Up to 40 favorite channels may be stored and up to 10 favorite radio channels on every satellite channel. It has an UHF remote control. It is both C/Ku Band compatible, but only has on LNB input. In order to use dual-band or dual-polarity, an external LNB switch would be necessary. Other features include internal TI filters, on screen menus and automatic peaking. LEGEND Blue = Buttons on Remote MASTER ASSWORD 2 – 3 – 4 - 5 1. Go to a satellite that is near to the satellite to be programmed with the same format. 2. Select a channel that will be active on the satellite to be programmed. 3. Press MENU. Press 4 for Receiver Setup. If it asks for a password, press 2-3-4-5. It should now be in the Receiver Setup menu. 4. The arrow should be pointing at Program-Sat Position, if not, press UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW so that it is. Press the ENTER button. The screen should now be in the satellite programming menu.
5. Press LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW to select the correct satellite name. 6. Press the LEFT ARROW (East) or RIGHT ARROW (West) to tune to the satellite to be programmed. Stop when you come across any picture or black screen. Check the picture to see if it is the correct satellite.
If it is correct, proceed with step 7. (You may autotune the satellite if you wish, press AUTOTUNE now). If it is not correct, continue moving East or West until it is found. Possible problem: It is picking up the satellites with the opposite format. (EX: You are looking for a Galaxy format sat. and they are picking up a Telstar format sat. If this is happening, then go to Procedure A. 7. Press ENTER to save the satellite in that position. It will return to the previous menu. Press VIEW and verify that it is stored. If not, repeat from step 1.
1. Go to a satellite with the same format and is near to the satellite that is to be programmed. 2. Select a channel that is active on the satellite you are starting from and on the satellite to be programmed. 3. Press MENU and then 7 for Sat. Definition. If it asks for a password, then press 2-3-4-5. It should now be in the Sat Definition menu. (See Below)
4. Verify that the Format is 4GHZ, if not, use UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to go to Format then use LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW to select 4GHZ. 5. Move the arrow to Add New Satellite. 6. Press ENTER. At the bottom of the screen it will display "Enter New Sat Name: __" 7. Press the letter button and number button of the new satellite name. 8. It will display "Satellite Updated". (The new satellite is stored in the same satellite position that you are starting from. 9. Press VIEW several times to exit the menus. 10. Press the MENU button. Press 4 for Receiver Setup. It should now be in the Receiver Setup menu. 11. The arrow should be pointing at Program-Sat Position, if not, press UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW so that it is. Press ENTER. It should be in the dish position menu. 12. Press UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to scroll through and select the new satellite name that you just added. 13. Press LEFT ARROW (East) or RIGHT ARROW (West) to tune to the satellite to be programmed. Stop when you come across any picture or black screen. Check the picture to see if it is the correct satellite.
If it is correct, proceed with step 14. (You may autotune the satellite if you wish, press AUTOTUNE now). If it is not correct, continue moving East or West until it is found.

If the need was to arise that you need to erase all the satellites and start over or you have locked a channel out and the master password isn’t, then you will need to do a Master Clear.
